Nathan has been a member of the Ontario Bar since 2006, and received his Masters of Tax in 2009. Since 2006, he has practiced tax in Toronto, and is the Founding Principal of Spectrum Law Professional Corporation, a boutique law firm exclusively focused on tax and estate planning for privately held businesses and other higher income earners. Nathan advises on a full spectrum of tax and related issues, with specialized knowledge in transactions related to family succession planning, corporate reorganizations, Wills and estates, estate administration, family trusts, life insurance, and tax dispute resolution. Nathan regularly meets with business owners, accountants, financial planners, and other lawyers to discuss planning opportunities that may be available to them or their clients.

Ian received his JD from Queen’s University Faculty of Law in 2013 and was called to the Ontario Bar in 2014. Ian has practiced tax law in the Greater Toronto Area since his call to the Bar. Prior to joining Spectrum Tax and Estate Planning, Ian practiced at a boutique tax law firm. Ian practices taxpayer dispute resolution focusing on individuals and small businesses and is developing a practice focusing on personal and business tax planning, corporate reorganizations and estate and trust planning.

Janaina Da Silva is a Legal Assistant with Spectrum Tax and Estate Planning. In this position, Ms. Da Silva is responsible for providing administrative support, assisting with Incorporations/Reorganizations, and handling the day-to-day bookkeeping of the firm. Prior to joining Spectrum Tax and Estate Planning, Ms. Da Silva worked at the corporate department of a Toronto law firm, assisting with the incorporations/organizations of Ontario companies, preparation of annual resolutions, and managing billing, account payables and account receivables. She also has prior experience at a Toronto litigation practice and assisted with the preparation of materials for motions, mediations, arbitrations and pre-trial hearings, and other administrative tasks. In addition to English, Ms. Da Silva is fluent in Portuguese.

Matthew Kindree acts as strategic corporate counsel to Spectrum Law Professional Corporation and is the head of the Corporate and Finance Practice Group of Brauti Thorning Zibarras LLP. Matt is one of twenty-five lawyers designated by the Law Society of Upper Canada as a specialist in corporate and commercial law, and has also been designated as a specialist in Corporate Finance by the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada. Matt practices and has extensive expertise in the areas of banking and finance, financial services, mergers and acquisitions, private equity, and corporate reorganizations and restructurings. He advises domestic and international clients on a wide range of corporate and transactional matters, including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and reorganizations. His practice also includes representing clients in secured and unsecured lending transactions, as well as counseling start-up and foreign enterprises on general business, corporate finance and regulatory matters. Matt has sat on the Executive Committee of the Ontario Bar Association (Business Law Section), and has chaired and presented at numerous seminars and conferences, including MBA in a Day for Transactional Lawyers, Secured Transaction Essentials for Business Lawyers, Professionalism Issues for Business Lawyers, Annotated Commercial Agreements, Commercial Agreements Bootcamp, and Structural Elements of M&A Transactions.
